About Me

This is awkward.

Talking about myself, is pretty difficult. I want to come across lovely, intelligent, kind and witty. But, there is always the danger of coming off a bit of a twat...

I could list my achievements using bullet points...give the facts of who I am...or I could write paragraph after paragraph explaining my existence up until this point....

Neither would really show anything about me.

Start with my name.

I'm Lily.
But, you knew that already. I'm 24, so practically ancient, and I live in the south west of England.

I'm unemployed but also self employed, doing a bit of freelance here and there. I am looking for a real job but I'm seriously lacking experience and employers these days are understanding my situation but unwilling to do anything about it. Yes that is almost a direct quote of some woman I rang to enquire about a job...

I have a masters degree in International Social Transformation...which is a fancy title for sociology and social policy in a global context...which is a fancy way of saying that I spent 4 years studying society and how it is (globally) changing.

Hobbies and interests...I'm a country girl who loves madly galloping across Dartmoor on a big white horse (his name is Dover). I also love shopping & spending money I don't have. I'm a geek in a social policy way and a Nintendo 3DS/Playstation 3/ PC games way.

That's all really, I'm sure more will become apparent as this blog gets of the ground. Fingers crossed!
